Livorno, May 31st – A group of representatives of the Gutenbergschule – 60 people, including students and professors – came for an on-site visit of the FAVILLINI Pharmaceutical Packaging premises.
The event was made possible also thanks to the collaboration of Mauro Antonini (Product Management Sheetfed Postpress Packaging – Heidelberg Italia) and Micheal Fallenbachers (Area Sales Manager at HDM – Heidelberger Druckmaschinen)

Students and professors had the opportunity of seeing the brand new Heidelberg 106 XL – 6 L XL in action.

The students were thrilled to visit the premises: it was indeed a great opportunity to observe the production processes and to understand how the most recent Heidelberg machines – endowed with the “Inspection control” feature,  an ultra-precise, automated graphics inspection system – actually work.

Our guests were impressed by the availability of the operators, who were willing to stop the production flow in order to show the single processes in detail, for example to explain how the die cut technology works or which techniques are used to print in braille.

Alberto and Eugenio Favillini and the whole staff are truly proud to have been chosen by Heidelberg as the destination of this visit, thanks to the solid partnership with the world’s leading manufacturer of printing machines.

Our hope is that this beautiful initiative will be just the first step to create a bridge between the world of technical institutes and the labour market.
